Two Master-classes are being held at Cacket’s Farm Livery Yard in Cudham, Kent.
They are open to all types of horse including ex-racehorses. You will learn everything you need to know about showing and producing your horse, including the most suitable classes for your horse to enter, the correct use of products to get right look for the show ring, plaiting and trimming.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of how much experience you and your horse have. Whether you have a horse that’s never been in the ring before, or you just want to improve on last season’s performance, you'll learn how to make the most of what you've got.
All will leave with goodie bags and questions are welcome from all during the clinic.
NEW! Cacket’s Farm Livery Yard Master-classes 14 Aug, 2 Oct 2010
The course will cover:

Individual assessment of each horse for confirmation, type and movement. I will recommend which classes you can enter.

Correct turnout, tack, presentation, quarter-marking, when to plait and trimming.  I will recommend ways to improve all of these.

In-hand presentation, the individual show, line-up and the steward's role in the ring.

Ring craft, how to get the best advantage in the ring, what  the judge is looking for, coping with others in the ring.

You will then prepare your horse, under supervision, for  a mock showing class. Please bring with you your showing outfit, grooming kit and any products you already use on your horse.

Discussion on matters arising from the day's session.
